28 parents booked a trial in one day, for A$14 each.

Luccas launched a brand new futsal program at NXTPRO, with no roster and no waiting list. We turned the ads on, and the first session was booked out inside a day.

Luccas Pereira, NXTPRO Football

Luccas runs individual and small-group technical development in Southern Sydney, alongside a player's club training. It is the detail club sessions never have time for: first touch, positioning, reading the game.

  • 14 years coaching and a B Licence.

  • Close to 1,000 players developed by a coach who played for Brazil at U17 level himself.

A brand new program with nobody in it

Launching a new session is the hardest thing a coach does. There is no roster to draw from, no waiting list, and an empty court on the night costs the same as a full one.

  • No existing players to move across. A brand new futsal program, never run before.

  • A fixed date to fill. One session, one night, and whoever was not booked by then was not coming.

  • Word of mouth is too slow for a launch. It works on a program that already exists.

How it filled in a day

Facebook and Instagram ads to the right parents, then a system that turned interest into a confirmed booking without Luccas touching it.

  • Parents within 10km of the court. Not the wrong side of the city, where a booking never turns up.

  • Parents whose child already plays. Qualified on age in the ad's own form, so the wrong age group never reached his calendar.

  • Several different ads, not one. Spend moved to the ones parents were actually clicking.

  • Booked automatically. Interest went to a page and a calendar that confirmed the session itself. No chasing, no phone calls.

A$388 in ad spend. 28 parents booked into one trial session, in a single day.

Why A$14 a booking is the wrong number to look at

A booking is not a customer. What matters is what a booking is worth once the child stays, and that is where this stops being close.

  • Half of them sign up. Across our clients, about 1 in 2 who turn up to a trial become a paying player. That puts a new player at roughly A$28.

  • A player is worth about A$960. Industry average of A$120 a month, staying about 8 months.

  • Even at 1 in 4, it works. A player costs about A$55. Even at 1 in 8 it is about A$129, against A$960.

Conversion, monthly fee and length of stay are estimates from our own client data, not NXTPRO's books. The A$388 and the 28 bookings are measured.

From one launch to an ongoing engine

The numbers been great since we started. Been getting a lot of customers to step into the door and then the rest is with me.
