Jey Siva — Technical Soccer Coaching
Jey is a former semi-professional footballer and a full-time PE teacher who has run Technical Soccer Coaching for over a decade. With himself and two other coaches, he's built a genuinely great academy — the kind kids don't want to leave.
A great academy, half empty
Jey's academy had been as busy as 100 kids a week. But once word-of-mouth slowed, players aged out or moved on and there was no "tap" to bring new ones in — numbers slid to 50 kids, around 50% capacity, leaving him taking home roughly £1,000 a month after coaches and expenses.
- A slow bleed of players. Word-of-mouth dried up, and there was no system to replace the kids who aged out or moved away.
- Flyers that did nothing. Leaflets around local schools brought in next to no enquiries.
- Out-marketed by "franchise" academies. Bigger names with weaker coaching were winning purely on slick websites and marketing.
- No idea where to start. After years of strong numbers he'd grown complacent, and digital marketing felt like a black box.
The frustrating part? The product was never the issue. Once a child tried a session, they stayed — "not many kids don't come back, they always come back." The bottleneck was purely getting new families through the door in the first place.
Turning credibility into customers
Jey had the credibility — a semi-pro playing career and a decade-plus teaching PE — he just wasn't putting it in front of the right parents. We built ads around exactly that proof, then set up a system that automatically qualified each lead by the child's age and booked them straight into a trial session.
The product was never the problem. Once a kid tries a session, they stay — we just had to get them through the door.
6 days. 6 new customers.
We switched the ads on, and the results came almost immediately:
- 38 leads in 6 days — at an average of just £1.73 per lead.
- 6 new paying customers from just £65 in total ad spend.
- Fully automated booking. Leads were qualified by the child's age and booked into trials without Jey lifting a finger.
- He just coached. All Jey did was run his sessions and call parents afterwards — their kids loved it, so they signed up.
From 50% full to a bigger vision
50 kids, ~£1k/mo
Half capacity, a slow bleed of players, and no reliable way to bring new families in.
A predictable lead "tap"
38 leads and 6 new customers in the first 6 days — with a system that fills trial sessions on autopilot.
With those results in less than a week, Jey now has his sights set on 150 kids — running the academy at full capacity as a highly profitable business alongside his teaching career, with room to bring in coaches to run more sessions as he grows.
